Wolf (Canis lupus)
Debatably the smartest animal in the world. Works in a pack, using teamwork just like us humans. The strongest members of the pack protect the weak, they all help take care of the family. A wolf in peak condition is the apex predator across most areas of North America. Some people are afraid of them and they are often misunderstood but they are not dangerous and will avoid humans, most pets and cattle. Historically lived all across the Great Plains before purposefully executed, destroyed and exterminated by the U.S. Government. Slaughter and inhumane killings of wolves and other predators still exist today.
Power, Strength, Endurance
The wolf is a fast runner and can cover a lot of ground. It is a wanderer, it knows and sees all of Ina Maka. (Can have a range of 300 miles or more as a pack) Wolves know where their prey lives, how it moves and when to attack and hunt it. True strength is when the pack is together and the wolf always returns home to its camp. An old wolf is a wise spirit.
