Mule Deer (Odocoileus hemionus)

Mule Deer are a species of deer located out West. They are larger than their White-tail relatives but can live in harmony where their territories overlap. They can be distinguished with their black tipped tail and large mule like ears. Very good at listening and traversing the landscape the Mule Deer can be hidden in plain sight.

Color: Gray, Reddish Brown, White chin and underparts, Black tip on tail

Length: 7.5 feet

Male Weight: 475 pounds 

Female Weight: 160 pounds 

Lifespan: 10-15 years in wild
