Mink (Neovison vison)
One of the more common predators across North America the mink is often not seen as it hunts in the dark hours of the night. The fur trade took a toll on their numbers as well as pollution and de-habitation of the modern world but the mink has still been able to stick around and live amongst the cities as a survivor. A well adapted hunter to the waters the mink can strike on both land and in water. Having soft, waterproof fur the mink hide had many uses in Lakota culture. Mink fur belongs best in the wild.
