Waterfowl

All types of winged and swimming relatives make up the waterfowl category of Ina Maka. Many groups of waterfowl can be spotted swimming, fishing, or socializing together. Some of the more common species like Mallards and Canada Geese can be found in large numbers and in almost every pond. Our waterfowl relatives are in need of migrating waterways which they can be seen in great numbers at times. Large flocks will travel through the Central and Mississippi flyways sometimes staying in one body of water only for a day to rest. Many of our waterfowl relatives call the Midwest home all Summer and can be observed in their natural habitats. Baby ducks are fun to watch grow. A large variety of waterfowl are included in this section.
